Professor Vladimir G. Chigrinov is Professor of Hong Kong University of Science and Technology since 1999. He is an Expert in Flat Panel Technology in Russia, recognized by the World Technology Evaluation Centre, 1994, and SID Fellow since 2008. He is an author of 6 books, 31 reviews and book chapters, about 333 journal papers, more than 718 Conference presentations, and 121 patents and patent applications including 50 US patents in the field of liquid crystals since 1974. He got Excellent Research Award of HKUST School of Engineering in 2012. He obtained Gold Medal and The Best Award in the Invention & Innovation Awards 2014 held at the Malaysia Technology Expo (MTE) 2014, which was hosted in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on 20-22 Feb 2014. C. Ribeiro is an assistant researcher at the Center of Physics of the University of Minho and Porto and Laboratory of Physics for Materials and Emergent Technologies, Portugal. She graduated in Biomedical Engineering, earned a master’s in Electronic Medicine, and obtained her Ph.D. degree in Physics, all from the University of Minho. Her work focuses on the development and use of smart and multifunctional biomaterials, as well as home-made bioreactors for tissue engineering applications and cancer therapies.

My name is Dan Dobrota, a Professor at Lucian Blaga University of Sibiu, Romania. I obtained my undergraduate degree in Machine Building Technology (1994) from the University of Craiova, Romania. I received my Ph.D. in the Technology of Materials field from the University of Craiova, Romania, in 1998. Also, I obtained another undergraduate degree in Finance and Assurance, at Constantin Brancusi University of Targu Jiu, Romania (2004). In the year 2013, I supported the habilitation thesis at the Polytechnic University of Bucharest in the Industrial Engineering domain. I was promoted to Full Professor in 2007. I have published over 137 scientific articles, among which over 84 in international journals indexed Web of Science. I am a reviewer for 52 Web of Science indexed journals (Journal of Cleaner Production, Materials, Polymers, etc.), 55 of which are rated Q1. I am the author of 32 books, one of which is published by the international publishing house LAMBERT. I was editor of the special volume “Design of Welded Steel Structures” of the journal Metals indexed Web of Science and now, of the special volume of the journal ”Materials” entitled “Ecodesign for Composite Materials and Products” (classified Q1).

Paulo C. He graduated in both Chemistry (1976) and Physics (1977) at UnB. Professor Morais is a member of the Brazilian Physical Society and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers – IEEE. He has served as a referee for more than 50 technical journals, takes part of the Editorial Board of more than 15 technical journals, and has conducted research on nanomaterials for over 40 years. He has delivered 170 Invited Talks all over the World. He is known for his research in the preparation, characterization, and applications of nanosized materials (magnetic fluid, magnetoliposome, magnetic nanoemulsion, magnetic nanocapsule, magnetic nanofilm, magnetic nanocomposite, nanosized semiconductors, polymeric dots, carbon dots, and graphene quantum dots). Dr. Mihail Lucian Birsa is currently a Professor in the Department of Chemistry at the Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iasi, Romania. In 2003 he was selected as a member of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation, working with Professor Henning Hopf in TU Braunschweig - Germany. Since then numerous return fellowships were granted by the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation. He has more than 125 publications in peer-reviewed journals and published +45 books/book chapters (John Wiley & Sons, Thieme, etc). Also, is an editorial board member in more than 50 journals such as Applied Sciences, Arkivoc, BioChem, Edelweiss Chemical Science Journal, Journal of Medicinal Chemistry and Drug Design, Journal of Fine Chemical Engineering, Modern Approaches in Drug Designing, Pharmaceutical Toxicology.

Dr. Laura Gabriela SARBU is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Chemistry at Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iasi, Romania. She received a Ph.D. degree in Organic Chemistry in 2015. During the Ph.D. program, she joined several times Prof. Dr. Henning Hopf's research team at TU Braunschweig – Germany. She has more than 45 publications in peer-reviewed journals and published 4 books. Dr. Osman Adiguzel graduated from Department of Physics, Ankara University, Turkey in 1974 and received PhD- degree from Dicle University, Diyarbakir-Turkey. He studied at Surrey University, Guildford, UK, as a post doctoral research scientist in 1986-1987, and his studies focused on shape memory alloys. He worked as research assistant, 1975-80, at Dicle University and shifted to Firat University in 1980. He became professor in 1996, and he has been retired due to the age limit of 67, following academic life of 45 years. He published over 80 papers in international and national journals; He joined over 120 conferences and symposia in international and national level as Plenary Speaker, Keynote Speaker, Invited speaker, speaker or Poster presenter. He served the program chair or conference chair/co-chair in some of these activities. In particular, he joined in last six years (2014 - 2019) over 60 conferences as Speaker, Keynote Speaker and Conference Co-Chair organized by different companies in different countries. Additionally, he retired at the end of November 2019, and contributed with Keynote/Plenary Speeches over 180 Virtual/Webinar Conferences, in the coronavirus outbreak in four year of his retirement, 2020 and 2023. Dr. Adiguzel served his directorate of Graduate School of Natural and Applied Sciences, Firat University in 1999-2004. He supervised 5 PhD- theses and 3 M. Sc theses. He is also technical committee member of many conferences. He received a certificate which is being awarded to him and his experimental group in recognition of significant contribution of 2 patterns to the Powder Diffraction File – Release 2000. The ICDD (International Centre for Diffraction Data) also appreciates cooperation of his group and interest in Powder Diffraction File. Scientific fields of Dr. Adiguzel: Shape memory effect and displacive phase transformations in shape memory alloys and other alloys, molecular dynamics simulations, alloy modeling, electron microscopy, electron diffraction, x-ray diffraction and crystallography.

Rami Ahmad El-Nabulsi holds a PhD in Particle Physics, Mathematical Physics and Modeling from Provence University (currently Aix-Marseille University), France and a diploma of advanced studies in Plasma Physics and Radiation Astrophysics from the same institution. He worked with different worldwide research departments in UK, South Korea, China, Greece, Thailand, India, etc. and he is currently affiliated to the Czech Academy of Sciences. He is the author of more than 365 peer-reviewed papers in peer-refereed reputed journals and a reviewer for more than 200 scientific journals.
